Default What would cause a foggy windscreen

I have a Sierra Cosworth and noticed the other day my windscreen is starting to go white in the bottom left hand corner. I think it may be time for a new one but would double check on here first. No signs of chipping or cracking as yet.

Cheers
Dave

It's called delamination. It means that the two layers of glass, seperated by a layer of laminate, are beginning to seperate from each other, and the white, milky looking effect you have is the combination of moisture and oxygen comtamination.

Eventually the whole thing would seperate, but before then it will simply crack as it looses a HELL of a lot of it's strength.

Time for a new one buddy

It is indeed delamination, but white is caused by gasses(air) attacking the POLY VINYL ACETATE(PVA) glue sheet used to bond glass together.
