Anyone ever done this?

Im thinking of going to either Majorca or Tenerife to work for the summer.. Anyone any suggestions, or any ideas onwhats the best way to do this?

yeah i did this in 2005 in Gran Canaria and it was fooking quality. i went there in april and came back in november.

i orignally just booked a holiday for 2 weeks although i knew i wanted to stay out ther longer, but if i hated it or couldnt get a job at least i knew i could get a flight home.


you have to be prepared to work thou and the money is shit. but because u live there u get known and you get a 'worker' price on food and drinks and alot pf places let u in free.

when i 1st found my job i had to work 14 nites in a row just to show i wasnt a tourist and i werent gonna fuck off after a week .


still one of the best things ive ever done and got so many good memories

Did you just stay in a regular apartment? I dont mind working everynite to be honest.

yeh, you get speaking to people and they tell you where you can live and where to look. i paid 450 euros for a 1 bedroom apartment with a seaview a month.

Well I could prob go over with about a grand so you think i could get a decent apartment for that...

all iwant is enough money to eat and survive out there... thinkin about going in a week or two. me and a girl i know.

yeh i went with a grand and it was ok

im glad i did it

the bloke i went with only lasted 4 weeks and i was soo glad after he went cos i could do what ever the fuck i wanted

worked in a bar. i started off as a glass collector then on to waitor.

it was called chinawhite and it played RnB which i hate but it was swarming with pussy and after work i would take them to cream and get them in for free and give them free drinks and then....... well u get my drift

u have to keep asking for work thou. everyday i went round asking for work and they bar managers do seem to fuck you about but if u keep asking u will eventually get job

I was away on holiday in tenerife last year, and made a few contacts with some bar managers and some djs etc... and ive stayed in touch with one of the djs in TRAMPS in tenerife so i think i might see if he could get me a bar job there...

man ur getting me excited... just waiting to hear back if i will still have my job here upon my return.

I use to work in Tenerife selling time share. Apartment was chucked in with the job. As the lad above said you get known and get cheap everything. Dodgy old palce Tenerife see a different side to the place when your living on the island.

yeh it had whores, and groups of africans that always try and prey on tourists and the morrocans where dodgy too but its liek anywhere. just dont do anything too stupid and anyway after a while u get what there about

Saw a bar owner get shot in front of me due to owning money to a notorious villian over there. In the time share game it was pretty dodgy not going on other companies patches or beating's were handed out etc, got that bad at one stage everyone was leaving the island.

Did not bother me just did the right thing and you were fine and just enjoyed myself.
