My mates just called about his drive home in a stg 3 sapphire, it usually hit 27PSI then tales off to 21 but he opened it up today and it just sat at 16PSI MAX Any ideas why?

I said it sounded like he hit the boost limit and he shoud pull over switch it off, check for boost pipes etc then try again, sure enough nothing looked wrong under the bonnet but when he started it up and headed up the slip road it hit full 27PSI again

Why though, whats the problem, he had a miss fire on boost yesterday too but we think that may be cos it was totally soaked?? dizz leads and cap etc were wet not just damp.

have the car running disconnect the amel valve then reconnect it you should hear a click noise from the amel valve

mines 26psi on stage 3 which is aprox 340bhp

It might click while its on the spot running but if it drops its boost again after you check it its worth swapping it over with a known working one just to eliminate it fully.

i had mine at 28psi and it was max on greens tbh so i just dropped it down to 26psi to be safe

Mine peaks 25 - 26 and holds 20.

it different for every car mine was maxing the greens out on 24psi so it was set to 22psi different for every car but mine has got fast road cams and ported polished head etc thats holding at 22psi mine does not really spike that heavy around 24 psi i think

Amal clicks fine so cant go by that if it is faulty, its intermittent by the sounds of it.

27? it was more than that originally and doing 354bhp but we thought it taking the piss a bit so knocked it off till its given the once over by Stu, I believe his stg3 set up runs similar 26peak and 21 hold so not concerned

Mine has cams and head work. Need to turn the boost down on mine as the inside of the turbo and plugs are white due to leaning off at high revs I think.

i would do fella u got the same as me the greens could not cope with 24psi where we getting the extra flow had to turn it done to 22psi fella

We always said mine felt fast for a stage 3
