We are Exedy dealers, but I don't have a catalogue here right now!!

There are 2 variants of the R32, early and late. One has a 'Push' type clutch and the other a 'Pull'.

I can most probably supply an Uprated Organic or Paddle for reasonable money. We can fit it too, though I suspect we are a little far away for you!!

My mate needs a clutch as well,

Any advice would be helpful, hes got a R33 GTST running just close to 500bhp, hes got a TWIN PLATE in it at the mo, but he fucked it up ( to many hard launches ) hes getting quotes of 1000 pounds + for another TWIN PLATE, so the cars been sitting there for 4 months

Any help in getting a cheaper clutch, or if you know anybody??

Thanks Sunny

I'm afraid that Twin Plates are around that sort of money for anything decent. Again, Exedy or OS Giken. I can supply any of these from UK sources.

Carl - That clutch on that link is just a standard one. Exedy do alot of OE stuff, infact they make alot of the components that AP etc use.

The guys in the club here are running a variety but the popular one is an Xtreme but not sure on model. I run an Excedy HD which was also an option I believe.

Can ask if Stavros can'e help.

You don't need a new clutch, he just need the plates replaced.

They are not expensive really. I have an HKS triple plate and think it was around £300 for plates...

OK.

Well, speaking very broadly as early and/or imported cars are tricky, the change from 'early' to 'late' happened in Feb 1993. So, we are sailing pretty close to the wind on this one!! There is really no other obvious sign.

If it's the early model, then there is both an Organic and a Paddle. Both of these can handle roughly the same amount of power, but the choice totally depends on driving style.

If it's the late model, then there is no Organic. It's Paddle, then onto the Hyper range.

In any case, at 400bhp, we are beyond Exedy's ideal power-range, but of course the step up to Hyper is quite a big one.

Also, if you go for a Paddle, the Flywheel will need to be refaced.

oh for fuck sake...

might have known it would be trickier than just gettjng another clutch...

btw, the difference between early and late is "push" and "pull" fit whatever that refers to, i dont know
might be best to have a look and get back to you...

thanks a lot christian
ill be in touch

The 'Push' and 'Pull' thing describes the operation of the clutch. If you can take a pic of the Clutch Slave Cylinder that would help me to know......

Whats that clutch like when not on track mate ?

Years ago I drove a R32 with a HKS triple plate and it was harsh as hell although I was used to a nice nova clutch
