Default Odd one - anyone know of anything like this (speaker mount)

Does anyone know of a speaker mount, or to be honest, not specifically for a speaker, that can attatch to the top of a 1.5" dia pole, that has a flat plate on top, like this;

As picture (sorry for the crudeness - MSPaint will have to do here! lol), the square plate has a "tube" attached/protruding from it, the inside diameter of which would accept a 1.5" (outside diameter) pole. Probably use a simple wingscrew to lock into place on this pole) and then I can sit a speaker on top of the flat plate....

Or if there ins't anything like this, what I would need to make it would be something like this;

that accepts 1.5" tubing, so I can bolt on a flat plate to it for the speaker to sit on....

Idea's?

The only ones I know of are "top hat" style fittings where a hole is drilled into the bottom of the speaker cab and a plate with the pole hole goes on and the pole hole is approximately 6" in depth and sits inside the cab with the base screwed to the bottom of the cab (if that makes sence? )

I know exactly what you are talking about Paul - typical Tannoy/PA speaker mounts. Trouble is I don't want to drill into my speakers so they aren't any good to me

Why would the speakers be moving? I have a pair of Mission speakers, bout the same size as the ones I want to mount here, that sit on normal style speaker stands (like THESE) and they haven't moved since day one And they get CRANKED aswell....

But even if I was worrying about them moving, then all I would do is add rubber matting to the top of the stand plate, which I would do anyway as isolation anyway.....
