i'm a landscape gardner and i do maintenance its a great job i even like it when its middle of winter raining and cold as lol

it does help that on my team my second man is more or less my best mate as we have a right laugh and i don't need to tell him what to do (i'm a supervisor) as he just does it

but having a 3rd person whos useless at the moment is really starting to fook me off she can never see the next job and when me and chris are struggling she will just stand and watch (like lifting heavy items on to the back of the van )

and she can never take a joke at all never but on the whole i love it and it will be even better once she has been rushed through the nvq scheme so we can sack her and i can have a replacement and no one can be as bad as her lol

i used to love all my jobs i had ( havnt worked for 4 years now which is good and bad )

i used to love the railway as a trackman, just sat in the cafe all morning while the gaffers would walk the track until they find a fishplate vroke or something

the worst time there was network rail i think were testing a new speed on a line and some one had left the farmers gate open and the train hit around 7 cows wa snot a nice place to be at the time

but the railway has to be one of the hardest jobs to do i think and get paid shit pay for working on live lines! and when the lookouts too busy on his phone it gets quite intersting

Me i love my job, i work in docks which new cars, fruit, steel, wood and alot more shit!

Done 12hours last nite, loading steel onto a boat, spent most of the time having "chill" breaks, see'ing who could get the folklift completey stuck down a hole, (18 ton truck) and keep calling workshop up on radio for no reason!!

But the downside is money,

I can drive all the plant and there cranes - which takes some skill and i get 7.30 a hour!

I'm one of the few that like their job even tho I'm underpaid and over worked

I'm a wondscreen fitter by trade, and I do actually enjoy the work itself most of the time - tho when you get a shite car or a shite day, it can be a coont

But I like (most) of the peeps I work with, and the younger lads are a good bunch to spend the day taking the piss out off, and generally we all have a good laff

Can be pretty stressfull, as most of the time you are always against the wire and struggling to keep up, thanks to traffic and shitty cars, but so long as you don't let it get to you, you can just go with it

Main problem with my job is not enough hot chicks work there! In fact, NO hot chicks work there

I like my job.

Dont look forward to going in, but in general, i do enjoy it.

Work as a driver/operator for Arnold Clark Car Sales. Get to drive loads of motors, good laugh with the folk i work with, really flexible, easy, not much pressure etc etc.

Pay sucks though...

I hate my job with passion

For a start this week alone the shortest shift I've worked has been 10 hours for the same pay as someone who works in a bay doing 4hours on a Friday. I've worked 16hour night shifts before - finished at 730am and was expected back in at noon once!
I never know weather or not I'm working the weekend or not until I finish work on a Friday which has been in the early hours of Saturday morning before. They tell me I can plan whatever I like as long as I'm on days but again I never know what shift I'm doing until the friday before

There's 100's of others things I can't stand about the RAF too but I won't list them all here

Christ...I'll be staying at uni for that masters then...if some of your job satisfaction levels are anything to go by I don't want one..

Maybe I'll breed and get a nice house...or get myself a tent and squat somewhere expensive for 12 years

i work on engines all day long, get to mess around with spanners and also do the clever stuff in front of my pc.

jobs great, get training and potential to travel europe.

just shame the moneys not great, but i havent been there long and theres plenty of potential to earn more, could also earn alot more if i could be bothered to put in the overtime

also i get to stick with engineering and still live in london........which is rare enough these days

who ever said quit there job,, no offence but some people hate there jobs but the wages pay more than starting at a new place

if i hated my job i would have to take a 5k a year pay decrease to work at another place

though i left my last job that i liked cause there was nothing for me to do and the manager could be a dick

my new place we have managers and supervisors ect but we all get on with the work so theres no NEED for th titles

hell i was putting salt in the directors tea thursday morning for calling me his bitch and saying he was gonna change my job tittle to tea boy

yes i make the tea and coffee in my job and enjoy it as i LOVE coffee and drink more of it that everyone else,, also gets me out the office and allows me to get more breaks

I dislike my job because i always wanted to do engine tuning?

Although ive done it for 10 years and feel im 1 of the best in the north-west as i am head hunted all the time 2-3 times a month with better so called packages but the grass is not always greener i know that for sure!

I actually work anything from 30mins to 8 hours a day but can be so varied through each week although my hours are 8.30-17.30mon-to fri
see plenty of woman
see plenty of different working enviroments
drive the north-west and a little further
just had purpose built building with plasma tv.s in every room office
American style diner
Great bosses
Directors super layed back
Play poker every month with
Top lads i work with
Bosses take us out every month next venue a weekend paid for a centreparks accomadation and meals paid for
Great when your off sick just use a holiday if you want
pay is good but always think you deserve more
Organise all your own jobs/work ,diary never questioned
Top of the range dell xps laptop
top of the range mobile
top spec pda
Brand new VW passat
And just about any tool or job related item as soon as i ask for it no matter the price of it!!

So all in all pretty lucky fookin fantastic company to work for but when you do work you have to use your head extremly but well respected and thinking about seriously looked after.!!

I mean i asked my boss next year '
can i have the vw golf gttdi with full climate pack and dsg gearbox'

and his answer was 'course you can dave dont see a problem with that'!!!!!

So i then said 'black if possible'

he said 'yes are they the sporty ones'

i said 'they have a little zip yes'

he then said' yeah the quite nice them we will sort it for you'!!!

Type of bosses you can talk about anything too without stupid regulation
