Default Running different tyre sizes. please help!!

Hi all,

Can I run 205/40/R17 on the frears and 205/45/R17 on the front??

Will it make any difference??

Reason being is that on my Civic Tyre R i have 205/45/R17, I am getting some new ones, but wanted to take 2 and put them on a Corsa 1.2 that is running 205/40/R17

Cheers

Matt

Providing they dont foul the arches, there is no problem with having a slightly larger profile on the rear.

you would have to run the 45s on the back mate

sure its illegal to have bigger tyres on teh front compared to back

The speedo will read wrong too. The 205/45/17 is 4% bigger than the 205/40/17, which is already too big for that car!!

ah he is running hte bigger ones on the front, didnt see that

for me for not spotting that.

you will have to run the bigger ones on the rear for legal reasons as far as im aware, so the speedo wont be an issue.
