Default zetec no spark

just got an escort 1.6 si zetec and it has a intrmittent fault

it will spark 2/3 times and then nothing its got a new crank sensor and

coil pack at best it ran for about 10secs and then nothing

is there any thing i am missing???????

plugs, leads, fault with the ecu???

checked the plugs and leads came with coil pack

will try another ecu (if i can find one)

could the fuel pump not be workin properly??

or is it defo summit to do with the ignition?

Try the middle wire on the coilpack - make sure that there is 12 volts getting to this when the ignition is on. I had the same problem a couple of years ago on one of the early edis cvh escorts

sorted all it was was a loose connection at the ecu

Mine uasuly does 3 clicks then goes out when cold, and i know the reason.

the battrey, check your battreys ok first mate, as there a basterd at times
