i have a 1997 1.8 escort si. since i have had the car the temp guage has never worked. I have tried another set of clocks and have replaced the sensor on the engine and still they wont work. what else could it be?
The sensor that i changed is on the top of the engine on the right hand side. it has a grey top and has 2 wires coming out of it. is this the right one that works the temp guage??

I think it has two sensors for temp don't it? one for gauge and one for ecu?

Can't remember what ones what though matey so perhaps for the sake of a couple of quid try the other one?
