Does anyone know if the problem regarding the alarm on these cars which is supposed to be down to the rear boot is curable by just replacing the rear boot latch?

I know its the common boot problem as when the alarm is constantly tripping the boot will not 'pop' with the key but when the boot is 'popping' ok the alarm is not triggering. It seems that the although the boot is shut the alarm doesn't seem to think so, so it keeps triggering and as it thinks its open the boot wont 'pop' on the key. Hope that makes sense!

Could be wrong on this, but i've gpt a feeling, the alarm on the street ka is not a 100% factory fit so don't think ids/wds is much use.
We once had one of our cars with alarm going off on its own all the time.
I think ford tech instructed us to replace the alarm module.
It was somewhere under the carpet by the rear seat.
Just an idea bud, hope it is of some help.
