Default Changing Cossie 4x4 Ratio to 3.9

Keeping the standard ratio front diff and changing the rear diff CWP and using a step off gear set and shortened chain...

When fitting the step off gears does the transfer casing need any modding as I've had a few mixed reactions but I think it depends on the actual ratio you go for. Can anyone confirm whether the casing needs modding for the 3.9 step gears?

i dont think it does for 3.9's mike, defo for 4.44's which bit did they mod ?

i have a set of 3.9 drop gears here for sale, and the teeth counts are both less than the std 31/31, the 4.44 has a larger driven at 32 than std hence the case mods to the mid post to get the gear clearance ??

3.9 definatly needs the casing modified.

it was done when i initially went 3.9, and then it was modded again after i killed that gearbox and bought a new one.
