Nice car, good to drive, engine sounded sweet, got it very very cheap as well insurance bummed me but never mind.

Downsides were it drank fuel like there was no tomorrow, then it started to suffer niggling problems (i.e. door cable snapping on drivers door, so replaced it....passenger door did the same the next day....) anyway brakes let go one day so I thought enough was enough

This is my "project" basically I wanna stick a 2.0 Zetec Turbo in it and track it. I bought the car aages ago, stripped it the same day and thats how its been since Never even driven it

1997 (R) Seat Cordoba 1.4 SE



VW polo with a different badge, few trim niggles but nothing major, cheap and cheerful ran pretty much on fresh air. Sailed through an MoT a week after I got it, never ever let me down always started first time etc. Bought it off my sister when I got fucked off with the BMW, my old mans running around in it now whilst he finds something else, still going strong.

Negatives are its an ugly as fook car (just had to run outside now and take a pic its that ugly!! ) and the gearbox let go just before I gave it to my old man (but I think thats more due to the way I was driving it )

96 (N) Citroen ZX 1.9 D

Owned briefly after the Seat dropped its gearbox, solid engine, drove well and was economical. Only problem was it was rough! (£100 at auction, looked as though somebody had taken a sander to the bonnet and it was in the 200k mark mileage wise). Didnt have it long, so no picture.

1997 (R) Honda Accord 2.0 iS



Fucking loved this car. Really wish I still had it but I kinda wrapped it round a wall and wrote it off one night

Went well, was uber reliable, everything was just spot on, typical Honda really.

Downsides same as with the BMW I never had any cash as I spent most of the time in the petrol station.

1999 (T) Vauxhall Vectra SRi 140



Got this to replace the Honda and still have it now. Drives well, nippy enough for what I need it for anyway, never going to be super quick as its just a chavved up rep mobile really innit. Good points are despite the other 2 litre cars ive owned guzzling fuel, this ones quite good, plus the car has all the toys as well and (IMO) look good as well

Negatives are it attracts too much attention round people I know so much so some scally scratched fuck out of the rear quarter panel just after I got it also the build quality is what you expect from Vauxhall (shit in other words) coz the cabin rattles like hell!

1997 (R) Ford Mondeo 1.8 TD LX



Got this as a second car, cheap as chips at auction, ran it around for about 6 weeks then blew the engine on it

A lot better driver than the Vectra and a lot nicer inside. Would be a great car had it had a petrol engine as the diesel unit did nothing for it.

Negatives were I bought it for next to nothing at auction and it was a rather rough example anyway. Nevermind.

1995 (M) Ford Mondeo 1.8 GLX TD



£70 auction bargain! I acctually bought this to rape the engine from to stick in the MK2 above, but this came with a good history, with just minor bodywork things needing to be done. Took the alloys off the MK2, sold that to a mate for peanuts, sorted this out and it flew through its MoT on Tuesday Still have the Vectra, so this is my 2nd car, but for the price, even if it goes bang at the end of the year ill have my money worth!
