Default car accident what would you do.??

a hackney taxi pulled out on me on a crossroads junction.

did not see him till the last min.as a bmw x5 was turning right blocking my view

scratch marks on the bumper and number plate fucked.

the cab drivers boss turned up..asked what happend.then said my driver is at fault

i can recomend a garage to take the car to..top quality work.or take it to a garage of your choice.ring me i will pay the bill

you MUST report it to your insurance company, doing this protects yourself.
If they found out later you had an accident and didn't report it you will be in it big style!

police don't normally get involved unless there is damage to road signs, or the roadway is badly obstructed (or so hey said to me when I tried to get them to come and help me after some anus pulled out in front of me).

Your lucky in some ways that they admited liability!!
The git that hit me said it was my fault and his wife even had the cheek to claim for whiplash against me, bitch!!

I would go through insurance, ensuring you have written statments, diagrams etc, just incase the driver changed his mind in the meantime!

Just a shame about the inconvenience.

My 2 pennies worth anyhow.
Good luck

As long as you don't pay the cash with the promise of it being paid back to you, then go for it.

If you're NOT going to involve your insurance, get it in writing that he's accepting responsibility and that he'll pay the bill.

Or we'll be reading a thread by you in a months time how you can't get the money off the bloke and its too late to involve your insurance company.

I'd take him up on it. If you claim off his insurance, next year when you got to renew your insurance you have to put down you've had a crash. Even when it's not your fault, your premium will still go up.

tell the insurance company
but also tell them that the damage is being repaired by the third party as it's is not too serious
that way you are covered in case soemthing happens and the insurance company won't turn around and say "well, you didn't tell us, now fuck off and pay your own bills" like they did to my mate when soemone smashed into the side of his car when he was turning into a driveway and left him with a £9k bill
