Help with a bloody light switch
The light on the landing has a switch at either end of the stairs and both control it. I've just swapped the switches over for some stainless steel ones and now they don't work properly!
Instead of being able to turn it on upstairs and then off at the bottom etc the switches are no longer independent, and you can't turn the light off unless both switches are off.
Each switch is a "2 way", is this correct?
Should one be a 2 way and the other an intermediate?

Both switches need to be a two way.
If they are, sounds like you have the switch common input mixed up with
one of the switch outputs.
You can swap the try swapping the 3 wires around until it works without
any danger of it going bang. (assuming it was correct before you changed it)
