Is a korean or far eastern car maker doing a copy of the defender?
Just been past the local Shitroen and Peugeot dealer and theres a pair of defender clones, one a flat bed pick up type and the other is a 7 seater/station wagon effort, they are brand new and identical in looks to a defender except for the headlamps which look horrid.
I didnt have chance to get a closer look as it was pissing it down and I was getting wet.
Just wondered if they had the rights to make them or whether its just a look-a-likey?

Its a cheap copy looks wise, has a similar build to the defender with ladder chassis and front and rear beam axles,
I personally wouldnt even waste a can of petrol setting one alight, defenders a much better car, everything that can do the landie can do better

The Santana was built in Spain under licence from Land Rover till about 2 years ago when they had a falling out or something.
They then changed just enough and import them into the UK to compete against the real thing. Believe they use different engines/drivetrain now.
