Default Garden shed security ideas?

we have just got a nice new shed for the garden, just need to get a nice big padlock, but then i just realised if anyone wanted to get in the shed all they have to do is unscrew the hinges and take the door off in under 5mins
Thought about painting over the screws with something so that its almost impossible to unscrew them

even if u do that all the need to do is get a crow bar in behind the padlock and rip the lock off. dont even need to brake the padlock!!!

thats how the fuckers nicked MY bike and fishing gear. bout a grand of my stuff was taken. little fuckers!!!

sheds are NOT safe and secure!!!! they could even rip a few pannels off the side to get in!

it looks like either the previous owner of my house either lost the key tot he lock on the shed, or someone tried to break in...

the latch bit has been hacksawed a bit but not all the way through...

then i lost the key and chopped through the lock with an angle grinder

you can still use the lock too, and can only see the cut if you look close lol

BUT

if someone wanted in, a shed will never be that secure, so if you have anything of value, stick it somewhere safe...

as said, 5 seconds with a crowbar and your in.

i dont have rear access to the garden so not bothered getting a new lock as no point. its only got some cheapo bikes and the mower in it, nothing really expensive.

I used one of these when I lived in a slightly dodgy area

It scares the crap out of you when you forget to disarm it

Fooking hell just been reading about it, sounds more like something that Arnie would use in The terminator rather than a security device

Looks like it could do the job though

you are wasting time mate painting over screws, even grinding over
so a screwdriver can't be used as a determined theif will smash
kick destroy a shed or even take the back or roof off,to get in.
i ended up building a big garage and getting one of these
they are the best at keeping rubbish from your shed

other than that a neighbour of mine just kept a watering can spade
and hose pipe in the shed unlocked ,nowt worth robbing there

What happens if you "forget" to put blanks in and "accidently" use a live cartridge and "regretfully" blow the leg off a would be burglar?
I would have blown my own leg off
I had it in the garage tripped by some fishing line connected to a hook on the door, I had to open the door just enough to get my hand in and unhook the line. At 6:45 am one morning when I was half asleep I just walked straight into the garage to get my motorbike and BANG there is a hell of a lot of smoke as well from the black powder.
Kind of wakes you up!

only need to screw a piece of timer to the door that 'hooks' behind the door frame on the hinge side inside when it closes....if they unscrew the hinges they still cant pull the door open cos of the timber. Any more than this and theyll rip the shed apart to get in as they are flimsy as fook
