if you arent paarnoid about it i see no reason why a focus RS cant be a daily driver, personally i'd be really fooked off the first time i got a parking dent or scrape on it though.

as porkie said, i suppose if ya using it as ya daily driver, u would have to come to terms with the fact its more open to risks of being hit etc. And also, the fact that end of the day its a 13k car now and lets face it, u see most women goin round in bottom of the range 3series beemers and these 4x4s that are worth more than that. Must admit tho, i wouldnt wana use one for that reason but u would have to expect it

mine has stiching so havent got first hand experience but peeps on the FRS part of rsownerclub say theirs seem to be ok (although that might be pride talking as they dont want everyone to know they were sytupid enough to buy them without the stiching )

Yeah and they too were daily drivers for thousands of people. Now they have reached classic status and get more pampered as they become rarer and rarer...SOME still good for daily drivers though
IF i had an office job id have a decent escos for my daily driver without a doubt...i have always said this. Being a builder makes this immpossible..

Definitely worth while as a daily driver! Mine gets driven everyday in all weathers. It's comfortable, quick, rare-ish and just a good car.
MPG is alright too, certainly nothing as bad a Golf R32 or Subaru. I'd definitely advise someone to get one as a daily driver.

They are perfect for everyday use. I have used mine for the last year everyday and not had a problem
MPG can be a little on the low side, would expect to see 24-28 around town and 32-35 on motorway depending on driving and mods. Super unleaded ONLY!!! Cost around £45-50 to fill up and should see between 250-300 miles to a tank of fuel If you keep the std cat they seem better on fuel, but a de-cat releases nearly 20bhp and 30ftlb torque.
Servicing every year or 12,500 miles.
Tyres cost around £95-£100 for say Yokohama Parada's (perfect tyres for the FRS )
Some say look for stiching on the seats and a pink throttle gromet under the bonnet, but mine has neither and i dont have saggy seats or the vibration through throttle. Also look out for a misfire at 5500 rpm on full throttle, its a know problem with the later AF map (again i have the early AE map and no misfire ) so i insist ford dont do a ecu upgrade when its serviced.
Suspension can suffer from a knocking sound, usually cured by replacing the effected shock.
Thermostat housing prone to leaking, so look for pink crustation build up around that. Its a easy fix, requires a rubber seal or a new housing at worst (around £5 for seal or around £45 for housing)
Paint work isnt great on these and they tend to look a bit orange peely but thats a good thing as you can often tell which ones have been resprayed maybe from accident damage. Front bumpers suffer heavily from stone chips.
think that about it!
