how many previous owners on the logbook?
when i looked it didn't even have an alternator....
and all the seat bolt threads were shiny where the interior had recently been fitted
shiny brake discs on a car that "hasn't been moved for 17 years" yet was in sea air??
seen some paint
lots more sus. things i can't remember
but the shell was nice I must admit
but glad you are happy with it and it's gone to a good home

Alternator and spare wheel were in storage, now all back in the car, under the car where the bolts come through these are consistent in terms of dirt and wear and tear, and show no signs of being recently threaded up. I have VW golf in our garage that has sat for years and all the discs are still 'shiny'. Yes it has some stone chips etc. but the lustre of the colour is exceptional now I have applied some polish.
More impressive is how the thing drives and all the switchgear etc.

im mates with the ebay seller who was selling the car on behalf of a friend. the listing is true. the pictures really did not do the car justice, it really is one of the best 3dr's i've ever seen. better pics were not taken of the car due to the car being parked so tightly in the lock up he did not want to risk damaging it taking it out. i personally would not want to own it as its far to mint to even consider using it, more of a collectors car. well done 8000miler on winning it, you really do have a stunning car. maybe if you show it in future then people will see just how nice she really is

I think that 3dr is BALLOOKS!!!
Somethink tells me it has been sitting for a while & recently its been put that way as you see it on the auction! DEFO not been sat there within even 5 years!
This 8000miler bloke or whatever.. you sound like ballooks aswell
