Anybody do MOT's or have MOT experience/knowledge???
Im trying to find out if there are any reasons why I cant run my Fuel lines under the floor of my car.
They would then be slightly lower than than the chassis rails, but not as low as the sump (which scrapes sometimes on road highspots).
Ive tried a search but not found anything. Anybody got any advice???

I wouldn't personally run them lower than the chassis rails - don't want a fireball after taking a speed bump too fast!
But as said, most cars run them under the car as std.

Mostly they are secured to the inside of the transmission tunnel on build before the gearbox is in. However I fitted mine in a different place and now want to relocate them. Trouble is there is just no room to work on them in the tunnel now.
Dead easy to run them straight under the floor, but I was just worried about any MOT issues. That said they are already partly below the chassis as it is now, but ive not had it MOT'd since passing its SVA.

The only other option I have is to run them inside the car. Again, i dont know if there would be any MOT implications of doing so...........

If the fuel lines run under the car they must be cliped to the side of the chassis rails. so f the car is ground out the feul lines would not be damaged.

I can attach the fuel lines to the chassis rails thrmselves as the floor panerls fit directly onto the the bottom face of the chassis rails.
Therefore the lowest part in acxtually the floor panels.........

We do about 20 MOTs a week, We dont do them ourselves but take them to a local MOT tester, We had a issue about feul lnes a while ago, the lines were hanging down below the chassis rails, and thats what the tester told us, Pretty sure he consalted the MOT guide,

Ive looked at the MOT manuals online, and they only describe the fuel systems as needing to be free from leaks and corrosion. Nothing about where the fuel lines must be.........

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
there is no reason why you cant run them there, hell you can run the along the roof as long as they dont affect anything else testable like line of vision through the screen, you cant even fial corroded fuel lines you can only advise on them,
