Default Small Alternators on Cossys

Anyone fitted one?

I know brise do them, but there a little pricey for what i want, obviously could use a drop bracket, but also needs to be slightly smaller than the standard 2wd item to make room for something else , any suggestions?

got a brice one on mine. the smallesst avalibale. the first one they supplied kept cutting out when the engine was getting hot. turns out that they had fitted the regulator the wrong way around and it was only half inch from the fanimold. doesn't need a drop bracket - only good for 55a

get your self down the scrap yard. most modern jap made altenators are small compared tto the lucas stuff from the 80's! just depends on how small you need really!

mk2 rs2000 alloy alternatorbracket drops an alternator lots.
use one of those with a drop bracket and it will be well low
55A escort alternators are smaller than the larger 70A/90A ones that come standard

will post a picture tommorrow, but front what i can see its identical to the one tony has posted above, although that one does look alot larger than mine, mine is a ZF 100 bar pump, which i presume the one above is aswell, maybe tony's one is a early type ZF pump

for a grp A pump?

you gotta find one first, i can get the brackets no probs but the pump you can pay upto £250 for one.

what car is it on, as i cant imagine its a YB, as the hose is miles away from the pulley on them, unless its on a escort? as obviously they run alternators and power steering pumps on the left hand side

Ryan, you can get a unit identical to the brise one for around the 120 mark. I have one fitted to my westy as there is no space for anything bigger.

They fit them to fork lift trucks!!!!!

Drop me a PM if your interested and I can give you the supplier and part number.
