Default now its my turn

Ok having let the knagaroo court have its say on the matter of the AP brakes which Deltona feels he need to come on this site and publicly slate me and had joined just to do this even though I have offered him a refund but feels the need not just to accept this but to join this site with the sole purpose of trying to discredit me.Now if i have done something wrong and NOT delt with it thats fair enough thing do happen and sometimes we have to refund thats part of the job,but for this guy to come here and try is best to do me as much damage as possable when I offered a refund is just plain nasty,
he also said he was happy to keep the item but at reduced price so something tells me hes is trying something on with me BUT being a trader with a good reputation I offered a refund less costs,at the end of the day you dont ask for your petrol money abck if you have traveled to look at something and didnt buy it
Anyway back to the item which is new BUT is shopped soiled which is no big deal really i even offered to put any problem right again he still feels the need to post on here
Now down to the decription which I may add didnt do on the E bay advert, being relitivy new to using it mistakes can happen,BUT if you look at the origonal advert I placed on this site there not decibed as new only the pads are even though I was told by the guy i got them off they were new. Buy thats not the point at the moment I have offered to sort out the problem as i would do with anyone but I find its disgusting that he feels the need to be vindictive on this site when i have done what was right,Now he call be a ripp off these words should be thought about carefully beofre being used
Ask the guy from Ireland who I sent a cylinder head to so he could make his mind up if it suited his needs as its hard to descibe it over the phone, its wasnt suitable so i refunded him
Ask anoth guy in Ireland I sold a Cossie to with no tax and test for spares or repair for a RWD Fiesta he is building, the head was cracked so i sent him another one,I didnt have to but I felt it was right
also i have passed his number to irish lads to buy parts off him he dont need to save them money and postage
I have lent loacl lads pasrt to try on there car to save them money before they buy
I have told people to buy form this site or e bay if my parts are too expensive or not in stock
I have passed on numbers of cars i have been offered but too expensive for me to buy BUT private buyers will be happy to pay
I have opened up at midnight to help people who have needed a part desperate
I have sent parts without being paid as I trust my custumers
I can go on forever with things the kangaroo court do not see or posted about i dont want thanks i dont want big ups but what i do want is people to be truthfull if there going to slate me and at least have a justified reason and not just for spite,
Iam disgusted with the attitue of somepeople on this site and feel there will be no future here soon as certain people are just waiting to jump all over a trader

so is that the actions of a chap who ripps people off,I dont think so
This is the only thing i will say on the matter and i will not be replying to any comments.
Just remember theres alwaya two side to a story and the guy who shouts the loadest usually has something to hide

so long as you offered to help the bloke out and offer a refund as he was not happy is good enough for me...

even when i popped in that time with someone else onece late evening you were quite happy to wait for us to turn up...

agreed

Wether its ebay or anywhere else, items should be described as best as possible.

Your excuse of being new as to why the description was bad is lame at best.
However....
you ve said youd offer him a refund...good...what traders should do if a customer is not happy....
but.. minus costs isnt good enough,...
to pay post for an item and then have to repost to send back and not have the item is just dogshit...

I know, as ive been fooked like that before...
so the guy would be down x amount of money and have nothing...thats not right...

Helping customers the last x amount of years is part of the job, and is needed to build up a good reputation to have got where you are today.
But this time, its just bad service on your part imo.

Now
For the guy to come on here and slate you is without warrant if he got a FULL refund for a part he paid good money for and didnt recieve as described.

From what i have read in the post you put up, and the comments people make of you, is that you are a reputable trader and people are always happy.
I would definately buy from you, but in this case, i think more can be done to satisfy the customer.

When ever i sell something, i see the customers side rather than from a business point of view.
If the customer is not 100% happy, regardless of the x amount that are...you will lose business no matter how small a loss, as peoples opinions of when buying from you in the past, GREATLY influence the decision of their close friends.

Dont get defensive and annoyed, as i have viewed it as a customer and this is
A) constructive critisism
B) only my opinion

good customer service is all about when things go wrong. customer service would never be neded if everything ran smoothly.

as long as you sorted the guy out when things were wrong, that is what counts and that is what keeps customers going back to a certain person/place..

well done

if he has aired his views then thats his right to do so really
but if you have then gone and offered him a solution and he's told you to get fucked it is only right for you to come back and post up your side of the story

i think this is another case of a situation wehre an amicable agreement is not going to be reached, so there will have to be a compromise
he is wiling to keep the calieprs at a reduced rate, it's up to you to come to a moneraty figure over that, if it's not doable then he should send them back to you and you should refund his purchase price less the cost of you posting them out to him (or he can send them back off of his own back)

don't give him the money and then wait for the stuff to come back, thats just being a doofus

if things still don't work out then you have his money,he has your stuff, you need to figure out a way to get one to the other and vice versa by some other means

everyone has a different view on the subject so don't take it the wrong way, everyone says you are a good guy other than the newbie whos giving you a slagging

You should refund the ammount he paid to you, when he returns the goods. He could pay postage back to you.

What is bullshit tho fella?
the guy thinks he got hoodwinked (always wanted to use that word) and is using his right to post on a forum to tell everybody why he thinks he got hoodwinked as is Pete's right to say why the guy never got hoodwinked ( )

I would trust Pete and have sought out advice etc from him well in the past but what has him letting you have an engine on the never never got to do with poor customer service the other guy got?

Now its not the mistake or what was advertised its the way this guy has gome about it when i offered a refund
he went out of his way to use this site to be vindictive, now whos in the wrong
Iam sure if the show was on the other foot thing would be different, and as to a full refund how many times have you driven to look at something and not bought it ?? I have many times have I asked for my petrol costs,NO nor has anyone else
if hes not happy with a refund tough thats no longer my problem

There is no need to blab on internet forum FFS. If you have a problem, sort it out privately.
It well pi$$es me off when people come on here to slag off others, instead of being a man and doing it properly.

However I did by some breaded chicken wings from Sainsbury's the other day, and when I got them home I noticed the sell by date was the day before. I didn't take them back or complain, but I would like to know other peoples opinions on this as I feel I have been proper mugged off by this retailer

You made the error, so its your responsibility to makes sure he gets ALL of his money back. I think you'll find he made the post as the situation was...

I'd have done exactly the same thing Unfortunatly you don't make the rules, and paypal very much favours the interests of the buyer, so all he has to do is open a dispute that the item was 'not as described' and he WILL get his money back, minus a small fee.

pete why if YOU made the mistake then he should pay the postage ?

its not like your skint is it ?

45 quid for a part ti find it aint what its ment to be,,, why

would you pay his postage if you bought them from him and they wasnt what you asked for ?

the difference with driving to look at a car is you do it and you agree, when you dont see the item you go by whats told,, if he was told there scratched then he knows and cant complain

if you bought a tv in a shop and discovered it was used for 4 months in the front window you would want sorting out PROPER

and no offence pete but the usual rules when people complain about you is threats via pm or was that just a one on that me and a few other members got

remember the cam shaft you sold,,, wasnt as discribed

theres a few parts sold not as discribed but maybe its cause you sell alot of stuff

hell you sold me a turbo with a cracked housing and claimed postman pat done it by dropping it as it wasnt like that when it left,,,, cracked in the same place all turbos crack too

pete i work with morons in the car industry all day long,,, i have to deal with garages who order parts and then send them back cause there wrong, i then send the part back and get charged and if theres a reason it was anyway related to it being some fault of mine like not double checking the part number the I take the charge,,,,, hell if its there first time they done it and its THERE fault ill still take the charge cause i earn enough money each day to cover it rather than loose a sale

good luck wha you decide but you admit you discribed it wrong,,,, it was a accident but YOURS,,, so YOU pay for it

you never know you may get it back when he orders other stuff off you as its not like you work at a 20% mark up is it

btw dont think i have any hard feelings about any of our dealings,,, im just open and say things how they are and it was a long time ago when i bought stuff off you and i DONT hold a grudge
