Hi guys
Right, i've had my computer rigged up to the aux input of my stereo for quite a while now, using one of those splitters coming out of the 3.5mm phono jack, into a phono lead.
Put it on this morning, and There was no sound coming out. Strange i thought! So I had all levels turned up to max and i could just hear the sound coming out of the stereo. I plugged back in the original computer speakers, and just the same is happening, with the volume up to max, I can just hear something coming out of the speakers with my ear pressed up to them!
Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong? Sound card had it possibly?
Thanks in advance
Rich

Have you musted the onboard sound properties by mistake? Some have "hotkeys" for volume control etc (mines CTRL+X which mutes it)
Go to START > CONTROL PANEL > SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES and open the volume controls and make sure nothing is muted or turned down...
If that don't solve it, do a system restore back to the day BEFORE you noticed the problem. If THAT doesn't solve it, then it must be hardware based, and I would expect the soundcard to be fubar.....
