How many £££'s for a Good engine rebuild on an RS.
Yeap need one guys. Not got time to do my self. How much would a rebuild cost.
Its an ERST S2 standard.
I know depends but a rough idea would relly help here.

For a bottom end? My mate who has just started his own business would cost ya £650 for standard bottom end rebuild, or approx £1100 for uprated jobbie. Let me know and i can give you his number

He is one cool reliable guy, knows all the shit ect. His missus has an ESCY COS, and he has RS500 AND RS turbo series 2 
, and his business partner has a SAPH COS.

FYI standard RS turbo pistons are around £400 new from burtons

If you are keeping the car & thinking of upping the power it might be worth fitting proper forged pistons, decent head & cam, whilst its apart

i recently rebuilt one and bits came to about 700 thats is pistons,rings,re bore,shells, oil pump,full gasket set, valve stem seals. not worth skimping on a engine. didnt take me long to do once you get all bits cleaned down.

Yeah I enjoy doing it all my self too Hybrid. Thing is I have not the back up when things go wrong. Ie in the way of Diag tools.
The engine I got seems ok. Just got no compression on bore 1 and cant see why not.
