Default Coilover catching body

Rear coilover spring, is catching the bodywork, (where the shock would normally be), is this a normal problem as it now obviously has the spring as well as the shock,

Is there any way around it without modifying the aforementioned bodywork, with a heavy implement

Some seem to catch ohters not mine didn't.
I know people have just bashed the offending bit of metal in the head to get rid of it though!!

Jase, put those lovely surgical gloves on to keep your manicured hands clean and get under the car with a hammer!!

LOL.

Had a similar issue with mine the first time, just needed a few moments of pursuasion and all was sorted.
