Duratecs are supplied by other manufacturers used in |Ford cars.

Example, My ST has a "Duratec ST" made by volvo.

I think the 1.25 Duratec was made by Yamaha !

all zetec se engnes are designed in conjunction with yamaha.

the five pot st is volvo

the 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 TDCI focus/fusion/galaxy/s-max/fiesta engines are peugeot citreon group engines

and 1.8 2.0 new shape focus, c-max mondeo engines are duratecs designed by mazda. (i think)

zetec se have inltet manifolds on the front and will rev to 7400 as standard

have very good cranks but the bottom end bearings in 1.25 are questonable,

all zetec se engines were desgined in conjunction with yamaha, make very good power on throttle bodies, and they to also suffer from sticky tappets,

the 1.6 zetec as found in focuses ect, will either be a series 1 or 2, i dont htink they made s eries three in a 1.6 (you can tell which series by counting the number of lines next to the zetec badge on the rocker cover

the main difference is the zetec se has the inlet manifold on the front of the engine, the normal zetec ison the back
