Listen mate this is endless , depends on what cash your spending , and what cosworth

My advice is get it on a ramp and have a right good look to see underneath for rust etc , not just a quick look as it can be a killer if the shells not solid which is sometimes the case , i ook for original panels and how straight car is , then history leaks etc , just the ususal really in any rs, again smokes from engine on boost etc of boost, rattles/ noises , again all the usual , better to take a expert really if your not too sure

the best thing to look for is a extra 5k in the bank for the next years maintanance

oh and rear chassis rails rust and are generally bodged on 70% of the cars ive seen when repaired

thats the main thing to look for

if its a ringer then it means its gonan be a better car than you expect at a better price

oh and exhaust manifold studs near the bulk head, check to see they aint snapped off as thats a engine/head out job to repair but can be done

if thats a issue then PM me and ill sell your some manifold studs that will repair the damage that are about a quid each,,, cheeper than helicoil and more efficent too
