If you can afford a £100k car you can afford to pay the prices they charge...if you can't afford their prices then you shouldn't have the car !

I dont see the problem with it at all?

The bulb is in awkward to get to palce, so it takes a lot longer to change than on a car like a ford mondeo which is designed to be economical to run.

Chip - I think I speak for most when I say we realise that for it to take an hour and cost £70 then the bulb is obviously in a stupidly awkward place - also outlined by the report of taking the rear wheel off and removing the arch liner....

I think the point is that why in the hell is it designed like that? Surely, for VAG of all people, it couldn't have been THAT hard to intergrate a pop off cover somewhere easy to get to to change a simple bulb? If it's this hard to change a bulb on one of these, god help us if a fuse blows!

thrush the cars are built for perfomance and not for ease of access, nobody with performance cars works on the

one of the guys are my work owns a lambo, he dont do anywork on it

BUT we do sell lambo and ferrari parts at work

we got a rear exhaust section for a 308 at work,,,, fuck knows why but we got it

we got lambo service parts and pads off the shelf too,,, but only for HIS model for some reason

oh and hes insurance allows a max of 1k miles a year on his policy

Because to design it like that would have cost too much money, when you are designing a supercar you just dont have the budget for those sort of things as well as all the power and handling etc.

Remember that ford spent a LOT more money designing the mondeo than Lambo did designing the gallardo no doubt.

Expensive car, but cheap project.

As a project manager you have a fairly constrained budget and you have a very specific set of aims, spending millions on the bulb holders being easily removable is a waste of money that you could be spending the chassis and gives you no real benefits when most of the owners dont actully car if its awkward to change or not providing it looks right and is part of a package that delivers performance.

Just thought, its got something in common with Civic. You have to take the front arch liner out to get to the front bulbs by the look of it

to change a headlight bulb on a newish clio is a £95 job at the dealer, my mates does them. you can get the bulb out but not back in without taking the bumper off, and then the bumper clips need replacing as they break everytime
