Default Alloy Wheel Welding ?? Any Recomendations ??

I have just noticed a small crack in the rim on one of my Alloys.

I know they can be repaired, just need to find someone

Don't do it, alloy will have hairline cracks all the way through, not safe at all.

wil cost you around Ł45 to weld up

they can be welded drill out the end if the hair line crack and if its on the spoke part of wheel grind the crack out and weld in linish and job done

UH OH, the dredded RL7 issue.

just make sure you inform whover you entrust to repair them that they are a alloy/mag mix

if its the first hairline crack you have found i suggest checking them all closely asap, ill put money on it not being the last one you get on those wheels.

and when it is welded, it will crack again! well all the alloys ive had welded have not worth bothering with, new wheels time IMO

Well i have just checked the other three thoroughly no cracks at all

and on close inspection, Its only the edge of the rim that has a small crack in
it, it has not gone on to the inner wheel, so should be fine with a small repair.

Just had them all powder coated too
