Its only if you download 3gb (on 20mb) between 4pm and 12 (midnight) they reduce the speed to 5mb down and 256 up for 4 hours.

Simple thing is to download after 12 (midnight) and stall it at 4pm

Ad - But why, i pay 37.99 for 20meg i don't want to have 5 meg for 37.99 after downloading 3gig...

Do you know how quick the 3 gig limit is hit? When your are downloading at over 2meg a second.....

I partly agree with your statement. Download speeds now are getting to a point where for most current uses it's fast enough. However, in the future it is better to be ready so we don't lag behind the rest of the world. This could still happen though as we get closer to the limits of copper based cable setups and have to all pay for the switch over to fibre optic (I believe that places like Sweden have to have fibre optic cabling installed into ALL new houses - we should have similar rules here).

The most disappointing thing about all of it is that the upload is still WAY too slow, I know it's supposed to be asymmetrical (hence the A in ADSL) but they're taking the piss! With things like Youtube and Myspace becoming even more popular they really need to address our upload speeds.
