as said,

nice try,...and i was interested reading it....but the downside, is a big downside...

the 48 people will essentially own the company...and all it needs is one tosser to ruin it for him....then he has 48 people on his case..

How do they own the company?

All he is giving them is Ł50 off parts that 'might be selling' and a chance to drive an RS2000 at a Trackday (that won't happen because I don't think he has thought through the fact that he will have to pay for 48 seperate drivers at the trackday and not 1 person! would be expensive to say the least!)

I am all for people having a go and starting there own business and its a novel way

BUT why would anyone risk loosing Ł250 pounds on a TOTAL start up business, when your only reward is a Ł50 discount on parts that HE is setting the price off???

He will struggle to get investors and if he does he will MASSIVELY struggle with cash flow....

He should see the bank manager with a decent business plan and he WILL get a business start up loan I think.

I'm also not sure how big the market really is any more? Ebay has massively changed the RS spares market from what I understand?

From what I understand even some of the established RS guys are breaking Jap stuff now!

I agree with Porkie.

Nice idea, but 300 worth of parts that you cant buy at once, and priced however he sees fit, an you have to give him 250 for it, is just not really much of a deal at all IMHO

As Porkie said, RS breaking is dieing breed now and honetly cant see it as viable business in long run. Breaking all performance cars would be better option...

he should make it an ebay company instead and let that grow up to the 12 grand he needs rather than start straight with other peoples money

cant see what he needs 12k for- 'I have the tools, the knowledge and the workshop'
theres nothing else needed- just start small and work up from there

if he cant get enough cash together from doing it 2 days a week with another income then i dont think he will make enough to survive by doing it for 5-6 days a week without one
