How old is it?

If it's less than ten years old then you'll need to SVA it then register it with a V55, SVA cert, insurance cert & proof of age.

If it's more than ten years then you don't need the SVA but will need an MOT instead.

I've been out the bike trade for about 5 years tho so that's assuming nothing has changed since.

Registration fee was £25 back then plus you'll need to tax it.

You'd be much better off with a 4 stroke for the road in my opinion. If your going to ride a 2 stroke pretty hard then its going to need rebuilds sooner than you think mate.

Ill be going for a road registered crf450 later on in the year as well as my current bike so i can ride on the roads and take it straight on track.

S1rst think i might do the same

beefy-rst-2 the same question has been asked in the motorcycle forum and not really answered, so i don't blame you for asking in GD

as far as i know, you can get away without lights if you have a 'daytime use only' mot

You can get away with no lights as far as an MOT goes but I'm not sure about an SVA test. It's a lot stricter.

As for proof of age a letter from the manufacturer or owners club will usually suffice.

I wouldnt bother making a 2 stroke into a supermoto. Well, maybe if you werent going to use it much. You'd spend all your time rebuilding it. Would be a good laugh though. Would be fun to blast off the lights though as they're seriously quick up to their top speed of about 80
