Differences with 2wd saph and 4x4 saph turbo water hoses

This may be a dumb question, and i aplogise in advance
BUT why does the 2wd water turbo hose go across the cam cover support by a bracket on top of the cover going to the header tank
on the 4x4 it doesnt have the extended metal tube, so it has to be routed around the top of the rad into the header tank.
Why the difference?

Just one of the many differences ford made when casting the 200 block as the 205 has weaknesses in the water circulation, notice also the water returns under the water level with 4wd tank but above on 2wd.
