Had this in my workshop Wednesday......
Top motor, complete pile of shit as far as build quality goes tho
4.5litre version
Came in for a new screen and ended up taking about 4-5hrs Sodding fibreglass monocoque! It has "a-post" covers made out of VERY thin carbon fibre that were kindly bonded to both the screen and the inner a-posts, and then rivited to the inner a-posts for good measure Of course, being a hand made car, the screen was a completely different shape to the cars aperture, which helped
But fuck me, did it sound nice when fired up and blipping the throttle
Complete piece of shit tho

There's this thing I have about TVR's, they're shit, in terms of quality. At everything else they are immense.
I would love one, anyday of the week, month or year.

This was my bruv in laws on the second day he owned it,and it happened when I was driving it
Got his insurance money and went and bought another one that lasted four days and the crank snapped cracking the block and basically totalled the engine
Ł6000 later he had it back with a 4.5 re-built engine, lost heart and sold it for the same as bought it for
Was really looking forward to goin out in a Cerbera when he bought it,big disapointment, didn't rate either of them at all

a flame job at 70 plus .i shudder to think imho..
but to pull over and watch your car burn..
so wrong
would not a powder fire extinguisher have helped the problem
http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=p...oogle&ct=title
i am really tempted to buy one as might help if the problem arises

Did help a little bit to start with, there was flames coming up out of the scuttle panel/rear of bonnet,so used extinguisher on them, put them out to start with, but then when the extinguisher was empty the flames caught hold again and that was the end of that
Will deffo have one in my Cosworth when its on road, but will be a bigger one than I used to have

PassionFord Post Whore!!
id really love a TVR, but if i ever bought one itd be witha fooked engine (shouldnt be to hard to find) then id strip the fooker and rebuild it from the ground up with new electrics and a proper engine.
fucking BEAUTIFUL cars imo, just a shame about thier reputation for being so shit.

Like most people said, 4.5 Cerberas are one of my fave cars ever, but going by the problems, i could never afford to own one.
Ive had a car catch fire on me at 80mph.
Burnt to a crisp.
But i didnt.
