Victor reinz who make BOTH the ones mentioned YBO1261 + YBO 611 use a far superior material for the latter ie YBO611 is better, maybe why they charge more???
They also make a SINGLE PIECE STEEL!!

oh dear. I'm confused now too. Just bought a grp a one, but if the escos is better, i might stick that in instead. Do all the holes line up though?

Why would the group A one be more expensive then? apart from being "group A"

Well, the Group A ones have always been £ 50.00 to £ 55.00

The late spec Es Cos ones (1261) used to be available from your local Ford dealer for under £ 20.00

Is saving £30 odd pounds worth the hassle of doing the job again ?
When the cossies were being developed, there was shown a weakness in the gasket material, so better ones were made, and are the same ones as used for group a, lots went back under warranty, replacements were ALWAYS group a.
It is your money you decide.

wire ringing the block is not expensive if the block is already out of the car.

I paid 100 quid too.

Group "A" may be more money but gets my vote over the later Escos one as the Escos one WILL rot away in time just like the standard gaskets used to do as they maintains albit a slightly better design but the metal rings in the corners ARE a BIG factor when it comes to big boost!

ps m8 had his block wire wrung in situe once head was off of course and was only charged £25 a cylinder and that was with having the wire fitted also
