Another Escos on ebay question!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-ESCORT-RS...QQcmdZViewItem
This one's been on more than once (last time with a GENUINE 'buy it now' price of only £9995) so why the hell hasn't it gone? I know the scammers were using it as bait for their trademark £3K routine, but surely it must be worth at least 10K???
Or is there somethnig I'm missing?

it's probably not sold because it's had a colour change
it says it used to be aubergine but the owners had it
painted imperial blue, that will probably put a lot of people
off.
i kno it would put me off
this could be the reason it has been sold yet

why didnt the seller just buy one in the colour wanted in the first place rather than ruin a perfectly good and rare aubergine one
makes you think could it have been damaged before? hence full respray, who knows

This escos belongs to a mate of mine, its a good honest car,the kiddie wanted imperial blue but didnt want to go down the minefield again of looking for another blue one so had it resprayed
Its a very good respray completed buy a local bodyshop who specialise in tvr's.Ive driven the car myself and it drives very well, the reason why im not buying it is ive had two escort cosworths already and i prefer the 3dr sierra's.My mate knows he's down valued it by respraying it but hence the price,we all cant believe it isnt sold yet but then nothing much is selling down here at the moment

Its bound to put people off if its had a colour change, even if it was just because he didnt like the colour. The owner knows this so its priced accordingly i suppose.
Cant see how anyone would do it to a totally damage-free car though personally. Not only would it cost around £3k for the colour change, its going to knock a good few grand off the value of the car so your looking to lose about £5k-6k at least. Would be much better off selling it and putting the £6k towards a much better car in your prefered colour. Cant understand it myself.
