GOOD HEADLINE WILL GET EVERYONE TO LOOK , PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN , WHILST UP IN THE HIGH END OF THE REV RANGE 4500-5000 I NOTICED A SMALL BACK FIRE NO SMOKE AND THE ENGINGE BACKING OFF NO PROBLEM IN LOW END OF RANGE PLENTY OF POWER I BEEN TOLD IT IS OVERBOOSTING , COULD THIS BE TRUE , AND ALSO DO YOU THINK A TRIP TO MOTOSCOPE YORKSHIRE FOR A STAGE 1 CHIP PLUS PLUGS AND SET UP HELP THANKS IM NEW TO THE SITE SO HELLO TO YOU ALL

 

Could be mate, do you have a boost guage?

 

no boost gauge just got the car believe it to be standard maybe actuator is faulty and allowing to much boost hase anybody heard of motoscope can they be recomended £495 for the chip, new plugs, 31 actuator, live road setup also please let me know the best places for the boost gauges etc plus any spare rs parts dealers thanks

 

NOT overboosting as it will cut the boost automatically.
Sounds more like an igntion fault.
