right anyone got a good one from the 80s / 90s

looking for makes and model No.s so i can pick up a £300/400 tape player off ebay for 50p

My akai units seen better days

remember NAKAMICHI being the daddys

tho allways like the look of technics stuff.

Got tons of classic London pirate radio i need to convert to CD

So when and where for the pick up?

Its gotta be better than this, tho i think the unit was a quality one, i think the 25+ years of age have taken its toll

You can pick it up whenever you want Fil. Its in my mums house in her loft. She only lives 2 mins from me though so just let me know when suits you.

but back in the day what else could you used to record onto, for reasonable money?

Tho a decent deck and some chrome / metal tapes? were very hi quality

My 3 head Sony TC-K630ES HX Pro deck still sounds the mutts - puts some modern CD players to shame And I love watching the VU meters

Matt, we went but he didn't buy anything yet... he works at ABN. So I guess he won't be splashing out for a while yet!

yep works great, better than what i had, thank god for dolby noise reduction

Allmost sounds reasonable on the speakers now

I have a Technics tape deck which I use when copying stuff over. Must get round to sorting out some old rave tapes actually.
