A quality game all round thoroughly entertaining. Its nice just to sit back with a beer and watch it without being the bag of nerves i am at the weekends for league matches.

i enjoyed tonights game, obviously seeing United win wasn't all that good but it was an ok match. AC didn't play that well though, Seedorf was very wasteful, Pirlo didn't get into the game much either.

If United can employ the same sort of tactics they will be fine, but to give 2 soft goals away like that is bad, very bad IMO ( Italian teams are good at nicking 1-0's )

Tell me about it. after the Newcastle game he was saying "new rules against United, no penalties" Why don't someone say to him on tv that United have had far more penalties against them at OT than chelski have at their ground.

Any big game that comes up Jose just starts the shit-stirring, its so predictable, its happened so many times especially before the epic battles against Barca. Chelsea have fooked about with thier pitch to stop free-flowing football, turned on sprinklers to stop team's training, sent death threats to players that signed elsewhere so why would they shy away from making contraversial comments.
I'd rather anyone won the CL than Chelsea, purely because its excuse after excuse. Chelsea dipped mid-season and it was blamed on Terry/Cech being injured, they can't score at St. James' Park with £54m of strikers so where's the excuse in that. Hopefully Jose will be making excuses at Madrid next season, because NO CL NO JOB!

We have competed with them every time, we were unlucky to lose this season at the bridge, missed chances being our downfall, bu we certainly matched if not bettered there performance...then we steamrollered them at Anfield.

we beat them in FA Cup, CL , Community Shield.... i can't ever remember feeling like we'd been outplayed by them.

And how can we be 'out of our depth'...remember we were European Champions not so long ago and we have just beaten the reigning champions and so-called best team in Europe too.

If it was a league game i'd write it off straight away as 3 points for Chelsea, but yes i have to admit Liverpool do riise to the occasion (pardon the pun) when it comes to europe. Even so over 3 hrs of football i have to say i think Chelsea should win it unless there's a big upset.
