Have been for weeks/months!!.. But I've only just bought my Mini.. If I get the door scabs sorted, and the front scab I can sell the Mini for £3.5k!!
WTF Do I do
Would LOVE a Ford Anglia.. NeilM has or had one for sale.. and its properly tempting If not an Anglia, Mk1 4dr, Mk2 or a 4dr Mk2 Cortina!...
...the main thing thats stopping me though is reliablity

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Anglias are the new Escort mate....
There were a good few at the Pod on Sunday and if you shop around there are still some real solid ones to be had and the old gimmers who have them still think they are worth £1500.
Unfortunately that one I had for sale a few weeks back has gone now but if you want one I can certainly keep my ear to the ground for you.
The nice things about Anglias is they are always two door
Check out www.miltonrace.co.uk and have a look at their catalogue to see whats available, I think you will be amazed at the things you can get and how cheap they are compared to Cossie stuff.
Other nice cars that are still relatively cheap are two door MkII Cortinas and if you can find one a two door Corsair is a lovely car.
MkII 1600E or even just a base model is a good solid car, nice big engine bay so plenty of scope for engine swaps and still practical to get 4 adults in if you want to go anywhere.
But for me... its got to be an Anglia.. they look fast when they are stood still
Just in case you need any more convincing and some pics for the youngsters who dont know what one is...
Convinced ?

Fast Ford snapper
For 4 years I did 30k+ a year in a tuned 2.0 Capri
Kicked it's arse daily and never really had any unprovoked disasterous problems either. Unlike when I ran a Mundaneo I was left stranded on the M6 with a seized engine in no time!
Worst thing was the 15MPG fuel economy, but still works out much cheaper than buying some new shitter in the long run
