well after we decided to go mexico, in the end nowone could afford it which pissed me right off , ive been invited to go to playa de le americas in the last 2 weeks of july whats it like for nightlife? price wise for drinks etc?

back in the pasata era 99/00, it was completely nutz, remember drinking pints of vodka / redbull for a few quid, beers was Ł1 abottle / 250pasatas, all the bars were sweat boxes, but all good.


Then came the euro price hike, regularly shutting bars down, police raids, and cleaned it up, back in 2004 was paying 7e for two bottles of bud more than the UK

1997, and my over-riding memory is turning round on the dancefloor to see a bloke just stood in the middle having a piss.

Playas was such a dive back then. Veronicas and Linekers Bar used to be our stops on the way out, then various clubs, and back to random bird's place, or the hospital!

Water park is/was average, best thing to do in the daytime is hire some bikes and fuck off up the mountain

Watch out if your on the beach in the middle of the night though, ive heard many nasty stories...

Since the main strip is right on the beach, its an easy place to go if you cop off...

Ive heard stories of people being mugged, even of the bird being restrained while the lad got dry bummed (Who knows if thats true though)

In my own experience i was out there with a girl one night and i saw a silhouette of someone creeping around on the rocks only about 20 feet away
Probably just some local perv though, we fucked off sharpish!!!

I first went in 2001

Just me and my mate

We went to beach most days, was ok, then lazed round the pool, was quite nice where we were as as up on the hill Costa Adeje in my mates time share apartment.

We were pissed every night etc etc

I remember going to Veronicas a couple of the nights we were there, Cant remember many of the bars lol Cant even remember what nightclubs


Went again in 2005 with Dave, had a good holiday.


On both times i have been told about the crime rate, rapes etc etc

But i have heard that about many places......

I worked there for a long time and you truly see a different side to the island what tourists don't see. Had the time of my life but came back a wreck with the amount of shit i did in that place all good fun though.

I went back 3 years ago for a week in a mates villa who is still there and could not relax from knowing what i know and had seen done wont say on here.

Still don't let that put you off

Thousands go every year and have a brilliant time just go enjoy it for what it is and don't think emmi wonder what that dick on PF was rambling on about.

Veronica's was there 3 ago must have come down quick, then again it was crumbling away lol.

went there in january this year to see my brother who has
been living there for the last few years .......................

if you fancy a hol on the piss and on the pull

if you want a quiet break dont go there .....

the hotel we was at was very noisey till at least 4 in the morning

and my bro said it gets worse the busier it gets

and the stories about muggings and shit like that are all true
lots of no go areas at night

lots of bad shit going on with doormen just wanting to fight
any body they dont like the look of

Was at Lanzarothe for christmas and newyears 05/06, We had a hotel in Los Cristianos or something like that.. got bored to death and went for Las Americas to celebrate new years, no hotelroom or nothing. Had a good evening, got pissed and forgot where I was, ended up walking the streets by my self, and eventually woke up in a gangway of a hotel, all great fun thoug and no problems whatsoever

Other than that, it`s just a warm ok place, not too special, but might be OK for a week in the sun

when last there veronicas and the places down its way were shut down, not a cheap place either by all accounts, also thought it was a dirty run down place that it was maybe ok in the 80's and 90's but not anymore.

Great place Very full of stray cats though and home to some of the biggest cockroaches ive ever seen Remember walking from the hotel to veronicas one night and saw one that mustve been 4 inches long by 1.5 inches wide just tanking around on the pavement

But i had a F#*king great time, 2 weeks of hot sun.....and some dirty ladies out there and plenty of great pubs and bars.

had some fantastic times in tenerife...linekers, bobby's and busbys, shooter bar, tramps and defo bonkers... bonkers had a weird dj who use to pride himself on being able to sing the classic rolf harris hit the court of king caratacas and doing all the motions...what a weird guy... all you need to do is preted its your birthday and its free drinks all night..rock on

if your staying in orlando appartments all i will say is this "dont use the bread boards"
