my dvd drive is working but will ony read some of my dvds, about 1 in 3 it wont read and then just freezes ive checked my drivers are up to date and now im stumped. Proper doing my head in now anyone got any ideas ive only had the driver 6 months. Any help much appreciated

 

what kind of dvd drive? pc, laptop, home?

Either you're DVD's have become corrupt or your drive its on its way out.

Have you checked your event viewer to see what error messages you are getting?

 

its an advent pc cant find nothing in event viewer to do with dvd drive, cant even see on the box whate make it is unless firmware makes any sense to anyone if my drives corrupt how do i fix this.Only had this drive about 4 months after the original drive fooked up

 

If the drive is hanging the pc trying to read the discs there will be an entry in event viewer in the system section.
