I would be tempted to stick a thicker grade of oil in it to see if it goes quiet
before getting the spanners out.

all that will do is hide it .

Wasnt meant to hide it but may give a clue whats wrong before its taken a part
when it may not need to be fully dismantled.


Only a suggestion from my experience.

i know what you mean simon but i think its about time for a rebuild anyway lol ive had it 3yrs now and its ran 28-30 psi for that time and done circa 60k plus miles

the noise could still be down to the manifold gasket as when u removed the plug that cylinder would not be firing hence no noise.
lack of oil pressure could be down to the turbo as i presume your oil pressure guage takes it feed from the same place as the turbo.

Still driving mine with its tap/knock. Still giving it abuse too, just cant help myself.

Might have to investigate it this weekend. Fancy taking mine apart too while your on Dicko, I cant be arsed with it.
