Default another TRANSIT question

...ever since i had her 2.5 diesel (97) the temp gauge has never gone to normal...unless you are goin up a long hill then gets to about half...the heater is hot....i noticed today though that all coolant pipes were hot axxept the rad bottom hose which was cool...what is the problem and does it matter i done about 10k miles like it?????

i would change the thermostat first if you are having uneven heat issues across the engine mate

some diesels run cold though, my fiesta derv never really goes above the m in norm

my temp guage has never worked thermostat came out a while back cos it was sticking and i run it without one now. transits dont care hardest motors on the road! last month mine decided to put its alt pivot bolt through the oil filter at 75mph on the a1 it didnt even whimper . only motor i havent been able to kill

...i had a midi diesel that ran out of water but i didnt know till it stopped ..let it cool down not knowing why it cut out..drove a few miles cut out...found no water in it...due to a split hose..fixed it good as new

oh yeah theres the water leak too run it till the heaters blow cold then its time for a top up lol . they never complain ran mine to south spain , round a mountain for 3 months and back (way back it had over 2 ton in it) it loved it
