I have an opportunity at the moment to switch jobs within my company, now the job i have is good, but its not challenging (which isnt me lol) and theres not really anything more i can learn, BUT the people on the team are fab and its the first job i have where i LOVE going to work....
On the other hand the new job is VERY challenging, ill be working very closly with the accounts manager, i have been doing it for a few weeks to help out, and really enjoy it, my manager has made it clear he wants me to take the new job, and feels it will help my career...he even went as far to say that he wouldnt think twice about giving me a managers position if/when one came up,when i have the knowledge i will get on this new team
I have to let him know tomorrow.....the pay is the same etc
So what is more important the people or your progression??

Happiness within work so you decide.
You will probably spend most of your life in the workplace, so try and make it, or have the job that makes you the happiest, as it reflects your private life too.

I would always go for progression but I'm a career girl
It depends on what you want out of life. In a couple of months / years those other people in your team could have moved on and their careers gone from strength to strength while your still sat there just because you wanted to stay where you were because you liked the people you worked with.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't want to be happy at work but what's stopping you from being as equally happy in your new role?? Yes it's another step up the ladder but surely you would still be working with nice people??

kim think you need to decide whats more important
dont get me wrong theres promotion in the sales part of mcdonalds but i recon you would be better off telling people you worked for mcdonlads in the accounts department
besides from what ive been told the fries are alot harder work than making the burgers
see you in germany

I signed up for 9 years LOL I enjoy my job, LOTS! Money is ok.. But the RAF is wank, changed so much over the last 6 years of me being in, Im doing what time I have left and plan on getting into a much better job with BETTER money...
