Default 1997 TRANSIT VAN OWNERS

....I RECENTLY HAD MINE MOT'D...when i drove it the brakes were utter shit compared to before ..i asked them what they had done...they said they had reconnected the leveller at the back...i looked and saw it and realised i was goin around with the brakes thinking i had 3.5ton onboard ...but i just cant get used to the really bad brakes...i think the reason it was disconnected was because it was broken as it didnt look right like something was missin hence giving hardly any brakes........so i have just disconnected and great brakes ...is there anything negative to doin this?....i know the rear brakes lock up when the fronts are cold..but i can deal with that.....

it will just apply more power to the rear wheels like you say thinking it has more weight on there hence can brake harder without locking up.
