Wasted spark problem SHE BLOODY RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!
my car wont start after fitting wasted spark and closed loop to my ecu the coilpack is not actually bolted at min to bodywork does this need to be earthed or should it still start?

DO NOT TRY IT BLINDLY VERY BAD ADVICE FROM ABOVE
You do not need to earth the coil pack itself in any way.

Middle wire ign.live, outer to to ECU (1 wire for 1&4 spark, other wire for 2&3 spark) - I think!!

im using a coil from a fiesta rs turbo so im guessing it will be ok.
everyhting else is new

It's pins 25 & 26
Pin 21 is rev counter drive.

no earth needed with a wasted spark system other than those created by the ECU

USing the same system where would you pick up the rev counter wire from? (Ie - which pin on an eec iv ECU?

pin21 had nothing on it?
the wires i have on my coilpack loom have 21 and other has 26 taped on them.
heres inside of my ecu

aint got instructions given to me have pm`d stu but obviously hes busy!
i got a wasted spark driver fitted and closel loop chip fitted at same time
got some instruction for closed loop but none for iaw system

no i mean the connection that goes onto the ecu no 21 was empty but i put 1 of my wires in it and the other one which was 26 was also empty so put one in that also as numbered

just turns and turns not a hint of trying to start!
when the ignition is on the fuel pressure regulator sounds like its just constantly leaking air

Also, check that you havent disturbed the phase sensor when doing the conversion.
I presume that you have left the cap alone, but if you have removed it etc - this may explain it?

is the right hand side pin on that plug pushed in fully??? looks like the yellow insulating is sticking out a bit..

ok
that was just a runner insert sticking out ehich i rectified earlier!
i didi take the dizzy cap off but the phases sensor plug is still connected ive put the dizzy cap back on without the rotor arm?

If it has become unplugged, then you also need to ensure that it is re plugged in the correct way round - it will fit both way rounds! If it is plugged in the wrong way round then the engine wont start at all (much like your symptoms!)

you forgot to take out the supressor in the green wire as mentioned
This can cause fatal damage to the coilpack driver

when i put ignition on but not turn it the spark plugs spark like mad
constant then when u turn it over there is a weak spark

is this the supressor with 2 green wires going to it? with a male and female bullet connector going to it
