Roosie - Don't forget to REMOVE the surpressor that is connected to the 2 green wires in the picture above and link the green wires together (solder them and tape them up)

do all 4 plugs spark when you turn the ign on? could be one of the amps is duffed, Mine also sparks when I turn ign on! often fires whatever is left in the engine, however it still starts fine after this initial little fault

I have now fitted 4 of these conversions depending on who made the sub loom the leads may need to be opposite, as for doing the engine harm, it doesnt work now so if you swap them and its not the problem it still wont work

Im probably wrong but it wont do any harm to try and if im right you'll thank me.

Not being big-headed but I expect I can get to the bottom of this for you
except I am flat out until after the 'ring trip
I guess you want it going sooner than that?

Roosie.....

You mention the fuel reg making a noise ?

This is the noise of the fuel pump running,it should stop after about 8-10 seconds of switching the ignition on,if it doesn`t this signifies the ECU is in fault condition and it`s possible the chip isn`t working....

This happened with my first closed loop chip, there had been a small software fault that had not written a certain piece of info, the car would not start and the pump was running continuosly,Stu sorted it out straight away, burning a fresh chip...

Ring him in the morning,he will sort it no problem.....one thing MSD do have is perfect customer service.....

just spend about abotu 30 mins on the phone with roosie, went through pretty much everything,

and i think its as you mention diva, he pump run's constantly on ignition.

It gets good spark on 1&4 but only a mild spark on 2&3, so i thought it was either a wiring or amp fault, but he swapped amps and check continuity on all the coilpack wiring and its fine.

so will wait to see what happens when he speak to stu.

Will be sorted though
