Evening Pal,
Sorry,l been out the later half of teh afternoon maping with Kenny to get a fellas car ready as he needs it for tomorrow.

I honestly think that for some reason your chip isnt working, OR the wasted spark driver isnt working. Incredibly rare but it happens, we are sadly only human.
My first thoughtm, is who on here can loan him a chip? Any chip, std, greys, whatever, it will at least make the car start and confirm a software fault. If thats teh case i will send you one SD Monday and the problem is solved.

Second possibility is extremely unlikely, but again, possible, check the orientation of teh chip is correct, and also that teh daughterboard is plugged into teh motherboard correctly. If you give me your number i will explain to you if required.

Sorry i cant be of any more help long distance.

Check the chip as soon as you can mate.
Also worth unscrewing the daughterboard and trying it with the ribbon cable orientated differently as these have been known to get intermittent contact. I can send you another chip on Monday for before 9am Tuesday delivery if you wish, just let me know pal.

Stu, I have none of the experience the others have. But when you installed the wires onto the pins you didnt get them too hot did you?
It hasnt melted solder and shorted other circuit tracks or any thing silly??

Ok, this only leaves the WS Driver mate.

If i was you i would post that ECU back at 9am using royal mail special delivery and i will install a new wasted spark driver for you and have it back with you for special delivery Thursday and teh car can be up and running for easter weekend.

Sorry for this inconvenience Pal, but sadly we are still humans and can occasionally slip up from time to time.

Roosie........You did pit Martins chip into your daughterboard on it`s own and not into Stu`s decoder board didn`t you ?

I think Martins chip runs standalone while Stu`s plug into the small board and then into the ECU.....

still struggling with this.

you mentioned the injectors clicking etc, which was symptomatic of a dead ribbon cable, as mine used to click when i fitted my new chip, a new baby board soon sorted this.

whats the advantage of the wasted spark conversion? been thinking about this for a while now

ok...I understand, just hoped that you had done that as it seems my tacho is different compared to the discription I got.....but I take that I'll have to wait until Stu is back

About your problem,...You are sure that all plugs are mounted correct ?

About the amps....I dont know
