both 2wd and 4x4 RS2000's are 2.0 16v 150bhp
GTi is 1.8 16v zetec 115bhp

go for a 2wd RS2000 or a GTi, will be good for a 2nd car, 4x4 have a lot of problems and i think they are quite expensive to buy because of their rarity

id pick the 2wd RS2000 out of the three

and if any of the above is wrong, then im mistaken........ lol

i dont know much about tuning on them mate, but put on an exhaust and filter on either one (RS or GTi) + a set of nice wheels, and you'll have yourself a nice car

i havent seen that black one lately, but if im correct, i think the plate has been changed to J444 ESR now, but i may be mistaken

i think the guy who owns it is from on here
i took those pics above at last years ford fair

love the car, dont like the mudflaps at all though

If you get a mk5 watch out for rust. Same with the mk6. I have seen a mk6 rs2k and its had a hell of a lot of rust.

I used to own a GTi. Big power difference between the rs2k and the GTi.

If you can find a decent mk6 or mk5 rs2000 then go for it. If not there is pleny of GTi's floating around the place

yes mate, factory MK5, you can get a 1.8 16v XR3i that looks very similar, or an RS2000 which is a 2.0 16v (same as the MK6 one i think)

the mk5 looks a bit dated now i think, the k6 looks better but you lose the bonnet bulge

as for engine options, remove said 2.0 I4 lump, replace with 2.3 lump from a galaxy, lose the balancer shafts, plug the hole up, swap the cams, 170 bhp

een klein verschil tussen rs 2000 en 2000 4x4. De rs2000 heeft 110 kw en 150pk. De 4x4 heeft 108kw en 148pk. Die is minder snel van 0 naar 100 maar is veel beter in het bochtenwerk.
Grtz.
