Default engine and box install into cossie

whats best/easiest way to install engine and box into a 3dr?

i.e engine with gearbox attacted or engine 1st then box?

any advice would be great cheers

ello mate,

If you haven't put them together yet - I would say engine first then box, or box first then engine doing them together is a pain in the arse.

just lift the front end right up and slide the engine and box under.

just like i do on the 4x4's.

Its in to a rolling shell and I don't *think* he wants to take the the crossmember/ shocks off.

and your just mad I've seen the pics

i put my engine (2wd) in first then the box seemed to be easy but i havent done it the other way

yes that the one you nutter cracks me up when I see that pic.

I bet you stood there for a while giggling to yourself before you thought to get the camera

I would hate to see what you'd do if you had to do some welding or painting underneath - you'd prob roll it onto it side or roof or summit equally mad

If its already a rolling shell then I would put the box in first then the engine in after (or vice versa, no real difference), if its a bare shell then definately underneath is a good option like dave says, I quite often do cars like that.

Dont they both go in together ok? On SX's at least its easiest to just slide em both in attched as one.
